Personal Prayer and Meditation

The church is open from 7:00 a.m. to nighttime. We invite everyone to spend a prayer time before the Blessed Sacrament and the various shrines. Our famous shrines are those of our Patroness, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Penafrancia, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Joseph, Divino Nino, and Santo Entierro.

Charismatic Prayer Meeting

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church has various Charismatic prayers groups in English and Spanish. The biggest group is the Spanish prayer group that meets every Monday, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the church. The English prayers groups usually meet on Saturdays and Sundays. Together in Christ Prayer group meets on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Hall and Immaculate Heart of Mary Prayer Group meets on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. in the Kenmore Garage.

The Charismatic Prayer Meeting usually involves praise and worship songs, prayer in tongues, prophecies, testimonies, scripture reading and reflections, healing prayers, and warm fellowship. Please call the office for information about the people in charge of the prayers meetings and their contact numbers.

Morning Prayer

At 6:30 in the morning from Monday to Friday, a group of parishioners uses the Liturgy of the Hours to have Morning Prayer. The parish invites all to attend this ancient prayer of the Church.

Holy Rosary

Everyday at 5:00 p.m. a group of parishioners prays the Holy Rosary, the contemplation of the events and the life of Christ or the Blessed Virgin Mary through the recitation of the Lord’s Prayer, 10 Hail Mary’s and a Doxology. Here is the schedule: Monday and Saturday, Joyful Mysteries; Thursday, the Luminous Mysteries; Tuesday and Friday, the Sorrowful Mysteries; Wednesday and Sunday, the Glorious Mysteries.

Devotional Prayers

The most popular devotion is the Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., which is followed by celebration of Mass. Other novenas throughout the year are Divine Mercy, Santo Nino, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Czestochowa, El Senor Esquipulas, St. Joseph, St. Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila, Our Lady of Manauag, Mary Immaculate, and Holy Spirit. Please call the office for schedule and hours of these Novenas. The parish also observes the Lenten practice of Stations of the Cross on Fridays of Lent.
